"This group is made up of straight-up killers of the dancefloor, firing ammo on all levels with endless energy, and they are without doubt, the last ones standing come the morning. Where many have tried and failed, make some room for N/UM!"
DJ MAG
"... a unique improvisational essence. They fuse textures from classic instruments like the 808, 909, SH-101 and Mono/Poly as well as their voices and guitar to deliver masterful ballads with strong dancefloor appeal."
MIXMAG
"Recorded in one take during a single session … the seven-tracker was improvised entirely, recorded as one lengthy live set with each track flowing into the next ... with an end product that is totally dancefloor ready."
XLR8R

WE ARE UNSEEN

The New York electronic live trio N/UM have come to be regarded modern pioneers of electronic live music with their fully improvised live sets, featuring the most classic of analog electronic instruments available combined with vocals, modular synths and guitar for a truly genre-bending experience.
N/UM performed live for Mixmag Lab in New York in March 2018 and have recorded live sets for John Acquaviva's Ibiza Global Radio, Deep House London (DHA), The Lot Radio to name a few. Notable venues they have performed at include Output (New York), Flash (Washington D.C.) and Mono (Mexico City). In early 2019 they toured in India performing at the Nowhere Is Here Festival in Schillong, and shows in Bengalore and Chronicle in Goa. Later in 2020 they had they first appearance in Germany performing at Berlin Clubs Kater Blau and Sisyphos and at the Fusion Festival in Laerz. In the summer of 2021 they performed at Resolute (New York) and made their way into the Nevada desert to perform on the legendary Robot Heart Bus on the Playa at the Free Burn 2021. The year was capped of with a performance at the Art With Me Festival (Miami, FL) and in early 2022 they were invited to be part of the iconic Cityfox Live at Brooklyn’s massive club Avant Gardner.
They released their debut vinyl Zebra (LP, Duro) in 2016 followed by the EPs Yes (vinyl - Ninetofire, 2017), Aporia (Lost Diaries, 2018) and Ravens (vinyl - Positive Elevation, 2019).
Each performance or recording by N/UM is unique and improvised, with no pre-composed songs, no plan or structure agreed upon. The group unites three longtime friends who have always shared a deep passion for electronic music. They are five-time Grammy Award winning mastering engineer and producer Jeremy Loucas, guitarist Elias Meister of world-renowned rap group Residente, (Calle 13) and Danish multi instrumentalist and producer Emil Bovbjerg. The three, having recorded and performed together in different formations over the past decade, have emerged as a solid musical unit as N/UM, capable of capturing major dance floors around the world while bringing the unique immediacy and spontaneity of improvisation to places where it is rarely heard: festivals, nightclubs and underground warehouse-parties.
